About Ethan
I’m a passionate swimmer and water polo player who enjoys helping others become more confident and comfortable in the water. Helping others improve is something I’ve always been doing on my high school team especially as an upperclassman trying to assist the underclassmen to create a stronger team not only in terms of skill but also our overall team environment and chemistry. I understand that everyone learns differently, so I take a patient and personalized approach with every student I work with.
Whether you’re completely new to swimming, looking to improve your technique, or interested in developing your water polo skills, I’m here to help you reach your goals. I focus on creating a comfortable environment where students can learn at their own pace while still being challenged to improve.
I bring a positive attitude, patience, and a strong understanding of swimming and water polo fundamentals to every lesson. My goal is not only to help you improve your physical skills, but also to help you build confidence in the water and enjoy the process of learning. Because at the end of the day you perform the best and improve the most when you have fun and love what you do!

My lessons are completely personalized to each swimmer’s skill level, goals, and comfort in the water. Whether you are a beginner just getting in the water for the first time or an intermediate looking to improve, I have the knowledge and experience to adapt based on what each individual needs. I focus on creating a positive and encouraging environment while helping swimmers build proper technique, confidence, endurance, and overall water safety.
A typical lesson begins with a short warm-up and assessment of the swimmer’s current abilities. From there, we work on specific skills such as breathing, floating, kicking, body position, strokes, turns, and endurance. For water polo players, I can also incorporate skills such as ball handling, passing, shooting, treading water, positioning, and game-specific conditioning.
I believe the best way to learn is through hands-on instruction, clear demonstrations, and consistent feedback. I adjust each lesson based on the swimmer’s progress rather than following a one-size-fits-all program.
I am currently a college student and have had countless years of experience swimming and playing polo for top programs. I’ve been swimming on a competitive team since I was in first grade and two years of Division 2 high school swim at a varsity level. As for water polo, I’ve been playing for one of the country’s top programs since 5th grade. Also playing all four years of varsity water polo in high school as a starter on a Division 1 program. Throughout my time I’ve also been able to attain valuable knowledge from highly respected coaches that I’m happy to pass along and apply in my training.
