Experienced teacher and tutor enjoys helping students - Maths tutor with Barbara

I worked with Barbara during an assignment with a Y11, socially and educationally disengaged young man. Barbara has a wonderful ability to build rapport with the young person with whom she is working, as well as with the carers, developing trust and confidence that enables her to engage the them in appropriate learning activities. Barbara sets high expectations, scaffolding the learning to enable success, thus building confidence. Barbara's subject knowledge is strong across Key Stages and she is able to differentiate the learning to suit the individual concerned. Barbara is a highly committed, motivated practitioner and I would recommend her for this post.
