About Mary
With 30+ years of teaching experience, I am able to methodically break down steps to mathematical problems found in Chemistry, Physics, and all levels of Math. I can help with concepts in Chemistry with easy to understand examples. Physics problems tend to be just applied math where the key to solving is making sure to label all the variables. I am qualified to help every age group from 6th grade up to college level students, any math, and most sciences. I received a BS in Geology with a minor in Math and currently have teaching certifications in Secondary Math and Secondary Composite Science. I am very meticulous and organized with my lessons.

As a classroom teacher for 30+ years, I have developed different teaching methods and techniques for different types of learning styles that each student brings to the table. Together we would determine how much instruction is needed versus working example problems. A typical lesson plan would include a combination of general instruction, example problems/questions, and student practice with my prompts. I am able to tutor any math and most sciences, 6th grade through college.
