About Al

Russian is my native language. I graduated from the Moscow State University as a journalist. I have a success record in teaching Russian starting from my uni days when I was tutoring. I worked internationally a lot and I know first-hand what people need to know to successfully communicate in a foreign language. I create a safe, encouraging environment for you to speak, to practise and learn. I love my students and I am happy to help them in achieving their goals.

About the lesson

I create tailor-made online lessons for each student. It is the 4-pillar method - Every lesson we work on your specific goal. The goals may include making an order in a restaurant, shopping, making appointments, presenting and discussing your work and other topics depending on your level and the purpose of learning Russian. - Vocabulary and grammar are presented in the context of real-life situations. - We speak the target language only. Yes, I always get you to understand it. - You are here to speak. You speak 60-70% of the lesson time. This method has proven to be exceptionally effective. If you start from scratch with just twenty 90-minute lessons twice a week you will - read, - introduce yourself, - speak about your family and home, - learn numbers, dates, seasons, - describe your food preferences and order food - speak about clothes and shoes - get your shopping done - have an overview of past, present and future tense - use grammatical gender properly
