About Daniela
I am an experienced teacher, as well as tutor, and speak 3 languages. I have been in the field for approximately 25 years. While tutoring I had great success helping students achieve better grades as well as subject comprehension. When teaching math and language, it is important to teach on the child's level, i.e. consider the understanding of the subject matter they currently have, and build on that.

I try to assess students individually, measure their strength and weaknesses and tailor lessons accordingly. I have tutored students in Grade levels K through 6th Grade. Not all children learn the same way, and it is important for the teacher and tutor, to find out how the child learns, and then use various approaches within the scope of their abilities to break down subjects. It is also important to understand that that children do not do well with top down teaching methods, i.e. start from the comprehension level of the instructor, rather than that of the child. The assumption must be that the child knows some things about the subject, and build on that foundation, breaking down each new concept to the child's level.
