About Tom
I really enjoy helping students to get a sound understanding and enjoyment for Physics and Maths, and to help them to develop their confidence and skills. Every time I return to each topic, I find a new fascination with the subject, and love to share this with students - especially when they have lots of questions. I have over 20 years' experience at teaching and examining both Physics and Maths, and I am keen to pass on all of the best tips on how to reach your potential in exams.

I have over 20 years' experience in teaching Physics and Maths to students from Secondary School, GCSE and A Level, and am Assistant Professor at the University of Nottingham. I am very enthusiastic about my subjects, and love to share them in one-to-one teaching sessions, to build skills and confidence in problem-solving and exam technique, whilst also developing a deeper understanding and appreciation of the material. I can offer one-hour-long sessions, or shorter or longer, if preferred. I can teach in-person, in the Nottingham area, or online.
