About Luke
I had my first paying gigs at 19, playing organ in Akron, OH. I have had limited work in live bands and recording since Covid, although I have consistently taught at least a few students since 2020. I like to keep my teaching personable and student-guided.

I have taught students from beginners to advanced in any age group. I am 25 years old and attended one semester of Composition at Cleveland State’s conservatory before leaving to pursue playing opportunities. I have learned most styles, including jazz, blues, metal, and country. I like to curate lesson according my student’s individual needs. I am practiced in teaching solely technique and learning through tabs, although I also am very experienced in teaching common practice harmony and standard notation to self-taught students. These skills can seem mundane, but a basic understanding of harmony will help you learn songs faster, especially by ear, and can help you improvise and write music with surprising ease.
