About Charity

I like to design my classes based on my students interests.
My classes are a lot of fun, you will do a lot of speaking and improve your fluency very quickly. I'm very organized and committed to my students.

I always give the option of structured classes with grammar and set exercises or classes that are based around conversation and have a more relaxed style of learning, as I understand that everyone has different ways of processing information.

About the lesson

Hello, my name is Charity, I'm originally from Birmingham UK, around 6 years ago I decided to move with my family to Barcelona Spain. My journey to learn Spanish and Catalan hasn't been easy, so I understand the challenges that arise when learning a new language. I would like to be here as a person that makes you feel comfortable enough to let your guard down, allows you to make mistakes and encourages you not to worry about looking or feeling stupid while learning. Practice and especially making mistakes are how we learn and grow within any discipline.

I have taught children and adults for a few years now and I find that the less structured classes, without set exercises and writing tasks make learning seem a lot easier, of course I still have structure in my classes, I just mean that we will often focus on more conversational style of learning ensuring that you will have time to practice your new language skills.

If you need to learn specific grammar or you have a goal of improving your written English we can focus on that, the lessons can be completely tailored to your needs and interests, I have students who work within certain fields we will explore topics and new discoveries within their field. I have students who have hobbies and interests such as true crime and as I have a degree in Criminology I am able to explore theories and discuss studies related to this.

I like to enjoy the classes also so it's very important to me to keep them as interesting as possible so that you don't feel bored and loose your interest in learning English.
