About Jo
I have been teaching for over 30 years and have taught in all sectors of education (primary, secondary and senior school students). I particularly enjoy working with the lower level students and those with special needs. I have coached sport for many years and am used to building relationships with students in order to improve their self-esteem and their academic level in the classroom at the same time.

Each student is different and needs their lesson individually tailored towards their needs. I aim to work to understand how each student learns best when I am planning my lessons. This is easier, of course, when tutoring one-on-one. I try to mix up my planning so as my lessons are not predictable and boring. Variety in lessons is very important.
