Super Tutor

Rachel is one of our best Violin tutors. They have a high-quality profile, verified qualifications, a quick response time, and great reviews from students!

About Rachel

I am a fun, engaging and approachable teacher who likes to bring joy to each lesson I teach. I want you to be comfortable and happy in my sessions so I do my very best to accommodate your needs and preferences. I have a lot of experience teaching stringed instruments in the classroom, both primary and secondary, as well as experience teaching privately 1:1. I have a huge passion for music and want to share this with everyone I teach. I have a very wide taste in music and believe stringed instruments can play in any style ranging from jazz to classical and from rock to folk.

About the lesson

Hi there, I have been teaching stringed instruments for a number of years, both privately and with the local music hub. I teach in my music room in my house or online via Teams or Zoom (if you have the appropriate technology). I can teach violin from beginner up to advanced standard, and viola/cello beginner up to around Grade 6. My lessons are fun and engaging, and can support you either with graded exams or just to play for enjoyment. I would recommend a 30 minute lesson for beginners to start with, which can be increased to 45 minutes or 1 hour if you would prefer.

Review

All of our reviews are collected by us and are 100% reliable. They correspond to a real experience lived by students with Rachel.

Perfect! Such a lovely approach. She absolutely sussed out how to make Ida feel at ease.
She’s currently squirrelling away in the kitchen ‘writing music’

I taught Rachel Johnson through school and I am still in contact with her. Rachel has an extremely positive personality and has an extensive experience of teaching through the Nottingham hub. Rachel loves music and the violin and anybody would be very lucky to have her as their teacher . I cannot recommend her highly enough. Carolyn Nash retired teacher for Northampton NMPAT.
