About Sharon
I have been teaching math at a variety of levels for over 20 years. I have found that I often learn as much from my students as they do from me. I believe every student can learn math. Some just need a different approach from what their teacher is doing in a class of 30 kids. I am able to give my undivided attention to a student to figure out how they learn and to explain things in an understandable way.

I understand that formal vocabulary is important, but find that it is often a hindrance to students understanding concepts. I like to explain things in plain and simple terms and point out all those things that teachers expect you to know, but for some reason never actually tell you. I have a multitude of tips and tricks to help you through your math experiences.
