After 23 years of teaching and tutoring, I consider myself a professional who is still open to learning new things. Working in small groups or one-on-one is the most effective way to teach; not only do I get to know my students, but I also see the most progress.

I have a Masters degree in English Lit, but more importantly, I have over 20 years’ experience teaching elementary school. My knowledge ranges from phonics and grammar to comprehension of literature and nonfiction. I love teaching writing and finding creative ways to engage students. Ask me about favorite children’s authors and how I match them with reluctant readers.
