About Patricia
I have worked in this profession for a long time, in many settings, and I still get the most joy and satisfaction from the opportunity to work one on one and in small groups with students. I like young people. You keep me young. I am honest and trustworthy. I will listen to you and respect where you are coming from. Tutoring sessions are relaxed but productive. My methods are flexible but predictable.

I am flexible, believe in acknowledging students growth and have learned many different ways to approach a problem over the years. I really like what I do and love working with young people to help them discover their hidden strengths. I will work in your home or at a public library near you.
I started tutoring when I was a graduate assistant at UConn. Since then I have worked at various colleges and schools. I have even taught in the Middle East. My teaching philosophy is simple. We all have the ability to learn. It is the teacher's job to work with you to find out the best way you learn, and to teach to that strength. I struggled in school and barely graduated until I met a teacher who helped me discover how I learn and taught me how to apply that strength. That is what I do now.
