About Muaz

As a non-native speaker of English, I have had to work hard to become proficient in the language. This has given me a unique perspective and set of skills that make me well-suited to teaching English to others whose first language is not English.

One of the key advantages I have as a non-native speaker is that I understand firsthand the challenges and struggles that come with learning a new language. I know what it's like to feel frustrated when you can't find the right words to express yourself, or to make mistakes and feel embarrassed. This understanding allows me to be more patient and empathetic with my students, and to create a welcoming and non-judgmental learning environment.

Another advantage is that I have a deep understanding of the grammar and structure of my own native language, which can help me to better explain the rules of English to my students. I am able to draw connections between the two languages and use my native language as a reference point to help my students better understand and retain the material.

In addition, as a non-native speaker, I have had to develop strong language learning skills in order to become proficient in English. This has given me a wealth of knowledge and strategies that I can share with my students to help them learn more effectively. For example, I am familiar with the importance of immersion and repetition in language learning, and I know how to create engaging and interactive lessons that keep students motivated and engaged.

Finally, as a non-native speaker, I have a unique cultural perspective that can enrich the learning experience for my students. I am able to share my own experiences and insights about my culture and how it compares to English-speaking cultures, which can help my students to better understand and appreciate the diversity of the world.

About the lesson

45 Minute Lessons. Speaking: Open-ended conversations. Reading: Pronunciation and comprehension. Writing: Sentence formation, punctuations and spelling. First fifteen minutes, I will have a conversation with the client for assessment and reevaluation of their current proficiency and progress. Secondly, the client reads selected material. Finally, they write a small essay on a random topic.
