About Isabella

I am a 15-year-old trumpet player with 4 years of dedicated experience. I currently play in my school's regular band, audition-based Honor Band, and for my church. While I am largely self-driven, I have also studied under and refined my technique through private lessons with Russell Whitehead, a prestigious professional trumpet player. This elite guidance, combined with my own years of ensemble performance, has given me a deep understanding of proper tone, breathing, and excellent practice habits. As a younger instructor, I bridge the gap perfectly for absolute beginners, combining top-tier training concepts with a patient, highly relatable approach that makes learning fun and stress-free.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed specifically for absolute beginners who want to learn the trumpet in a comfortable, stress-free environment. I focus heavily on building strong fundamentals—like proper breathing, comfortable embouchure, and solid tone production so you never feel overwhelmed.
A typical lesson always starts with a relaxed warm-up to get our air moving. From there, we work on reading basic sheet music, playing simple melodies, and practicing rhythm exercises. To make sure your progress keeps going between our sessions, I also provide light, easy-to-follow music theory homework to complete before the next week. What sets me apart is my patience; because I tailor the pace completely to you, we can focus on having fun while building your musical confidence step-by-step!
