About Lupe

I provide supplemental academic support and homework assistance to students outside of regular school hours. Identify learning needs, develop customized instruction plans, and help student build essential study skills, boost academic performance. I am dependable, patient and able to connect with different type of people. Being bilingual also I communicate clearly and support students who may feel more comfortable learning in either language. Your experience working with people shows that you know how to encourage other, stay organized.

I have always been a working mom and my daughter started falling behind in school, and I noticed because all the time she had free.She was not focusing on school and I tend to believe her when she told me she had completed her work.So I quit my 9 to 5 and became i stay at home, mom and put them in homeschool, and I just felt so much more comfortable knowing that they were actually completing and learning.And understanding the assignments.

I have raised four children and two of them were homeschooled. So I did a lot of training with them.

About the lesson

Typically I like to get to know where the student is in their academic level and also I like to know what is their interests. I like to incorporate their interests with their school. With small children they tend to understand by singing. With older kids if you talk about their interests for say their favorite show they tend to get it because its is something that interests them?

I've worked with many types of students that are falling behind in their academics due to not wanting to ask questions or whom don't want to speak up?In front of other classmates, they work better on a one on one mainly elementary.

I would let them know that they have to feel comfortable, they have to ask a lot of questions. And I would like them to know that I am here to help them do teach them.

And that like I will put in my part.They will have to put their part as well.If they really want to learn.

I recently worked with undocumented youth that we're here from third world countries and spoke, no english and did not understand a word of english.. after working with them for only 6 months, I am happy to say that most of them graduated high school and were able to move on. And have learned the English language.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I think that every student has to understand and accept that everyone is different. If you have a question regardless of what the question is, ask it?You will never know the answer.If you don't ask questions.
