About Tiffany
Hello there! My name is Tiffany Sidney. I am a recent graduate of Loyola Marymount University where I received my California Multiple Subjects preliminary teaching credential, M.A in Educational Studies, and B.A. in Liberal Studies (Elementary Education) with a concentration in Special Education. I have an insurmountable passion for teaching and have experience subbing in all grade levels and student-taught in 1st and 5th grade. My love for teaching started as early as third grade! I always envied my teacher's ability to write on the whiteboard and grade papers. Once I got to college, I knew this was the path for me!
-California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential
-M.A. in Educational Studies with a concentration in Special Education
-B.A. in Liberal Studies (Elementary Education) with a concentration in Special Education
-Substitute Teacher in grades k-5, middle, and high school
-Student-taught 1st and 5th grade for eight weeks each
-Tutor at Seaside Learning Center (grades k-8)
-Private tutor for a kindergartener with an IEP.

As a teacher/tutor the most important thing is to establish a relationship with the student from the beginning so they feel comfortable expressing their concerns and I can incorporate their interests into what they are learning! I usually start off by doing a few informal assessments to see where they are at with the relevant content and then we will go from there!
I have worked with many types of students: IEPs, 504s, behavior intervention students, advanced students, k-5, and middle and high school students.
