About James

I have been providing tutoring services since 2010. I am available to help your student succeed. I provide one-one-one tutoring primarily in math, science and reading.

Tutors are not only for people who are experiencing failing grades. Those days are long gone. Instead of struggling through courses, tutoring can help students:

Get that extra edge to advance in their studies and garner the highest grades possible;

Prepare for private school exams such as the ISEE and SSAT;

Improve your score on standardized tests i.e. TEAS, GED, ASVAB, ACT, PSAT, SAT;

Prevent them from getting bad grades and help them succeed in class;

Enhance self-esteem and confidence and;

Make learning fun.

NEW

We now offer tutoring services for:

Michigan's MTTC Teacher Exams - 096, 022, 089, and 103

Nursing School (HESI) Entrance Exam

Math Tutors

Math tutors help with the basics of mathematics on up to the advanced levels of calculus. Grade school tutors can help children who may be having troubles with math so that they have a firm foundation upon which to advance in grade levels. Choose the right math tutor to get the right kind of help you need

Science Tutors

Science tutors offer students a number of benefits during their time together. Whether it's preparing for an upcoming test to understanding how certain reactions work, a tutor will allow the student to flesh out what they know and how it all fits together. Any student can memorize facts - learning how things work is invaluable! Science is not just about rules and facts. It is about how you apply them to the real world. Take the help of a science tutor and experience success!

Reading Tutors

Reading is fundamental to all academic study. Our goal is to increase reading skills such as inference, cause and effect, point of view, fact or opinion, reading comprehension and an appreciation for literature. As these skills grow, the ability to analyze what is read grows. The student's vocabulary and writing skills will also increase.

Meet with your Academic Coach anytime you want to sharpen your learning or life management skills such as:

I like to start with a phone call with the parent of a minor student to learn what's trobling the parent.  I always talk to the student to establish a link - to let them know that I'm hear to help.

I ask the student to bring me recent papers or exams to determine their issues first-hand.

I work with middle school, high school and college students.  I provide tutoring and prep for nursing students, teacher cerification candidates, those desiring entry into the armed forces, SAT, ACT students and most of the sciences in middle and high school.
