I help people who are afraid to be seen and heard feel great about stepping into the spotlight.
MFA, University of Texas at Austin
BA, Brown University
I am a professional actor and lifelong educator with the inherent following belief system:
-Acting is telling the truth in imaginary circumstances.
-Everyone has access to imagination.
-Therefore everyone has fundamental access to the process of acting.
I value the unique experiences that any individual has collected, variety in personality and interest. I approach learning acting with a baseline of respect for the student and with a vested interest in finding the safe ways into greater expression.
I believe that through the process of exploring acting with levity, respect, humor, and tenderness, individuals can experience greater personal freedom and increased compassion. I believe the theatrical arts are a shamanic ritual that betters humanity at large, even in subtle and laughter filled little ripples.
