About Brian

If you are looking for a dedicated, insightful and experienced acting coach look no more. For over 30 years I've been acting in theatre, film and TV productions in New York City.

As a former member of the legendary Ridiculous Theatre Company I have a unique insight into over the top comedy and intense drama. A 2000 GLAAD award nominee for my Off Broadway play Boys Don't Wear Lipstick. As the playwright and author I'm experienced in solo performance work as well. As a longtime member of Actor's Equity and SAG/AFTRA I have a great understanding of what it takes to book a role.

I'm trained by HB Studio in Greenwich Village and have worked privately with Elizabeth Browning. My acting process is more organic and I'm a believer of a naturalistic acting style.

About the lesson

First, I like to get an overall sense of what the student is looking to achieve, what their goal is for the work. Secondly I like to take some time to study the text and subtext of what the objective is for any given material. Then by breaking down the scene bit by bit to mine all the authors emotional intent before we begin.
