About Waliek

Hello. My name is Waliek Crandall and I am not only an acting teacher but a teaching artist within the NYC area. I have been teaching acting for over 15 yrs as well as writing, directing and producing performance productions within the organizations that I work for and with. As an actor, I am sensitive and understand the "struggle" and love helping other actors reach inside and pull out that bug within. With me, you not only get a coach but someone who has a heart for not only this art but for the people and students I serve. The student will learn through a variety of techniques such as improvisational exercises, focus and mind exercises and games, character analysis, sense memory, etc. I am also available to guide and assist with serving as a rehearsal reading partner for when you book that audition and/or job. I have been in many theater, television and film productions with network television, independent films and theatrical prods. I am a proud member of both the SAG-AFTRA and the AEA (actors equity assoc.)unions.

As an actor/performer, I enjoy taking an audience to places that take them away from their problems if any of the day. I love taking them on a journey and a ride. I love becoming which also takes me on a journey and ride as well.

As a teacher/coach, I love seeing the fire in a student's eyes and the self discovery with joy as they "Become".
