About Bruce
I help students find their voice to make authentic choices in both scripted material or improvisation. Lessons are fun, engaging, and work to help students remember the sense of play that imbues scenes with realistic and grounded work that yields fun and surprising choices.
I've been teaching both acting and improvisation for years, and I love identifying a student's strengths - which (properly utilized) can often be the tool to breaking up their weaknesses.
I trained at CUA in Washington D.C. in Theater and Secondary Education, where I did my student teaching at the Duke Ellington School of the Performing Arts.
I am an artistic associate with Sideshow Theatre Company in Chicago, and teach AP2 Improvisation at The Annoyance Theatre. I also perform and teach at ComedySportz Chicago, and am the executive director of Hitch*Cocktails (voted Best Improv Troupe in Chicago by the Chicago Reader).
