About Dominique

I am a classically trained equity actor and experienced comedic improviser. I have my MFA degree in Acting from American Conservatory Theatre, and a BA from Princeton University. My favorite things to coach are: Shakespeare, Improvised comedy, and straight acting. I have been teaching theatre for the last 4 years in corporate workshops, individual coachings, and acting classes. I have been improvising for 14 years, and you can find me performing long form improv onstage at the PIT, the Armory and elsewhere around NYC. My sketch duo "Feminarchy" has been featured in The New York Times, Huffington Post, NowThis and more!

My solo show ("THE BOX SHOW") which I wrote and toured across the country has received many awards and rave reviews.

The New York Times hailed the show as "the most purely delicious production... relentlessly inventive... I began to marvel at Ms. Salerno’s embrace of limitations... As the performance built, the elasticity of Ms. Salerno’s creativity became clear. Reveling in restrictions, her show turned out to be a paragon of Fringe form."

As an actor, improviser, and writer, I love working with people to cultivate their creativity!

I love helping people strengthen their talents and hone their skills. I meet my students where they are, and I try to bring out the great things they are already doing in their craft and give them skills and insights that they might not have had before! I love working with people to be prepared, sponataneous, and fully lived in their acting.

MFA in Acting from A.C.T. (American Conservatory Theater)

BA from Princeton University

15 years of improv training from UCB, iO Chicago Magnet Theatre, Endgames Improv, and The Groundlings.

I have been working professionally for the last 8 years!
