About Dennis

I am honored to have over 30 years of classroom instruction and training. I have successfully prepared students, both young and seasoned, to move on to regional theatre and professional stages as well; both in straight and musical theatre.

I remain learner centric. That is to say, the learner is actively involved in setting the outcomes for each class. The curriculum is specifically taylored to the learner after an appropriate pre-assessment. We also then measure the learning throughout and as a final post assessment. Every actor will leave with what they desired.

I have over 30 years of experience in acting, singing, directing, and production. I have a B.A. in education with an endorsement in Theatre Arts Training and Master's work in Theatre Production. I directed and produced over 30 shows and founded and directed multiple theatre companies, magnet schools, and schools for at-risk youth.

About the lesson

I always work to establish a bond of trust early on, followed by gathering a detailed description of the student's goals. I then use a pre-assessment device to determine prior knowledge, skills, and abilities the learner brings to the table so as to minimize redundency.
