About Craig

I've worked with amazing teachers who were working artists. I'm kind. I'm encouraging. I've seen the country 5 times over on someone else's dime. I was in Chicago storefront theatres for 14 years, and NYC for 10. If something isn't "right" for you, I have suggestions. I'm a theatre sponge. I'm also really funny.

Theatre is therapy whether doing it or watching it. Creative collaboration is the greatest gift of all. Mostly, I want students to create without fear. It might be a hit; it might be a flop. But did youv enjoy a magical, creative, organic experience while creating or rehearsing it?

I double majored in Musical Theatre Performance and Directing at Columbia College Chicago with Tony Winner and friend David Cromer as my acting professor. I studied Improv at Second City with Martin DeMaat. I traveled the country 5 times over Emceeing Experiential Tours as well as performing nightly in the Off-Broadway hit Naked Boys Singing! in Chicago, Vancouver (Original Canadian Cast) and San Diego. I relocated to NYC in 2007 to finish my musical I Found My Way: The Dusty Springfield Musical with an equity reading starring Tony Winner Katrina Lenk and continuing my education with Karen Kohlhass' intensive workshops. I currently reside in Philly.

About the lesson

My process is helping you find the right material for your type. Making sure you select something not overdone. Making sure you market yourself correctly. Making sure you're reaching the audience you want to reach via social media. Making sure you "think outside the box" when it comes to potential gigs which may be new to you.
