About Kat

As an acting coach, I like to prepare my students for auditions by helping them discover the "truth" in their work from an organic process. The dedicated acting student will engage in how to bring a character to life; making it their own.

I have over 25 years of experience. My experience includes being a SAG/Aftra actor while actively working for years in New York and in the Philadelphia theatre and film industry. Today, as a member of I.A.T.S.E Local 798 in Savannah, GA, I am in a unique position to understand what is needed both in front of as well as behind the camera. I love the collaborative process of storytelling in filmmaking.

My degree in Community and Educational Theatre from Emerson College provided the foundation upon which my career as a Teaching/Artist/Actor grew.

I graduated with a BFA from Emerson College, Boston, MA, in Community and Educational Theatre.

My experience ranges from working as an Artist/Educator for City Lights Youth Theatre in NYC; and as an Actor/Instructor for Enact Theatre, in NYC, along with working in Philadelphia, PA. as a Dramatics Instructor for the Village of the Arts and Humanities; the City of Phila, Dept. of Rec., Performing Arts Division and the Camden School of Music and Art, to work with Venture Theatre in Phila., PA as a House Manager and Actor/Instructor; in addition to working as an Actor/Instructor for Philadelphia's Freedom Theatre; and Girls on the Move in Camden, NJ.

I performed as an Actor in a one-woman show, for the Philadelphia Fringe Festival; in addition to performing with Philadelphia Theatre Caravan, Bushfire Theatre, Stages of Imagination, Stageworks Touring Company, Novel Stages, and Society Hill Playhouse in Philadelphia/New Jersey.

Perfect! Working with Kat changed my perspective on public speaking. With her guidance I learned to use my full self as I projected my voice and my story. While, working with her my confidence grew with each session as we worked on body movement, personal image, and resolution of personal issued that were getting in the way. I believe Kat's acting techniques will help all who work with her to project their voice, tone, image, and emotions to the world. I will continue to use them through-out my life.
