About Alexander
Hi, I’m Alex! I am a recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Physics and Music with a minor in Engineering, and I’m currently pursuing my Master’s in Acoustical Engineering. Though I have decided to enter a career which relies on mechanical physics, calculus, and differential equations, I studied music theory and composition for my major and am happy to tutor in either of those subjects as well. Throughout high school and college, I grew to love each of these subjects and share my passion with those close to me. As a tutor, I recognize that not everyone shares the same passion for physics and math that I do, but if I’m able to convince you, then great!
Even though I am just beginning to tutor formally, I have tutored my high school and college peers with positive results. Those close to me have often asked for my suggestions on assignments, especially to clarify concepts. In my final year of college, one of my professors asked me to grade for their upper level physics elective, and I gladly accepted. I am now looking forward to helping students like yourself.
When it comes to tutoring, I recognize that everyone learns differently, (which is certainly why you’re looking for a tutor). I’d like to know what methods work best for you, and how I can structure our sessions so you are getting the most out of your time. Plus, the more I know about your knowledge on the subject, the better I will know how to fill in what might be missing. For these reasons, I highly suggest you come to our first session with some idea of the specifics you want to address, but if you are unsure, we can also work it out.
