About Beatrice
I enjoy problem solving. I am very good at math and science (tutoring physics and chemistry).
I have a BS in Marine Science and an MS in Physics,
I have tutored and/or taught physics and math since 1985. I taught physics at UTD for 12 years (retired in 2015). My tutoring students told me they wished I was their teacher.
I have been able to figure out most problems I have attempted. I had a student come to me with some algebra from her class that her other tutor could not figurre out, but I did.
I first taught a calculus lab in 1980 when I was working on my BS. Then I started tutoring about 5 years later when I got pregnant.
I have a BS in Marine Sciences, an MS in Physics, and my teachers certification for high school physics. I have read AP Physics exams so I am aware of how AP works.

I like to meet with a new student and discuss what problems they are having. Preferrably they come prepared to work the first meeting. I want to know if we can work together.
I feel comfortable working with students based on their subject. I have worked with basic math, but prefer at least algebra.
Come prepared to work. You are not going to be able to tell if you can work with someone unless you come prepared to get help the first day.
