About Tricia
I enjoy helping others to learn and practice ASL because it is a part of my childhood. I grew up with Deaf family members and was babysat often by my Deaf Grandparents who I love dearly. ASL can open the door to a whole new world of culture as it can also open the door for better communication. It is a beautiful visual language.
I grew up with Deaf family members some who I was very close with.
I have a letter of recognition from Anne Arundel Community College for completing 12 credit hours (four courses) in ASL which was the concentration for my Associates Degree in Transfer Studies.

About the lesson

Start with the basics of learning and practicing the alphabet and numbers along with a few signs to be able to communicate needs/wants.
More signs and expressions will be taught and practiced at different rates as everyone learns at different speeds.
I will also focus on the student's ability to not only be able to demonstrate what is learned, but also develop their ability to understand someone signing to them.
