About Alicia
Hello, my name is Alicia! I am a 27 year old Hard of Hearing artist who is fluent in American Sign Language. I’ve been signing since I was 11 years old. I’ve taken 4 high school ASL classes and adapted the language through the Deaf Community throughout my adult life. I teach ASL 1, ASL 2, and ASL 3. The first thing I teach all my students is the ABC’s in ASL. If you already know it, you’re off to a great start! If not, don’t worry! As we build your signing skills, we will also discuss about Deaf culture and Deaf mannerism. Remember you’re not just learning the language, you’re learning the the culture. I work with all ages.
More about me: I recently moved to North Carolina from Oregon. I’ve lived in Oregon for majority of my life. I love swimming and hiking, the beach is my favorite place to go to. I have a 5 year old boy who loves cars and robots. I spend most of my time acrylic painting or working on art projects with other mediums.
