About Daphne
I am about to begin my undergraduate studies in History and Spanish at the University of Cambridge (from October 2019) and am eager to continue tutoring students younger than myself in the subjects I love, as I have done for the last four years. I have both tutored students on a long-term basis, accompanying their in-school education, and on a short-term basis to prepare them for upcoming examinations in person and online through email and video calls.

If my student requires assistance in understanding something they have been taught elsewhere, my first port of call is to ask them to explain it to me as best as possible, and then I check in on this throughout the lesson and see if their understanding is improving as we go. I encourage students to think for themselves as I find that this is the best way to develop a thorough understanding and exam skills. I also like to provide alternative ways to think about topics that may have been confusing, and this also helps them remember this information. My students enjoy our sessions and consider my teaching approach to be fun but also very productive. All of my students have gone on to improve massively, as their teachers and/or examination results have shown.
