About Sameoun
My name is Sameoun Islam, and I am about to begin my undergraduate studies. Over the years, I’ve worked in various roles and volunteered in a range of settings, but tutoring has consistently been the most rewarding experience for me. I enjoy helping students grow in confidence and understanding, and I take pride in being able to explain complex topics clearly and patiently. Teaching comes naturally to me, and I’m passionate about supporting young learners to reach their full potential.

I am an incoming undergraduate student with prior experience tutoring National 5 Maths students at a tuition centre, as well as additional voluntary tutoring experience. I specialise in tutoring National 5 and Higher Maths and Biology. My lessons are carefully structured around the official SQA course specifications, ensuring all required content is thoroughly covered. This method has consistently helped students improve their confidence and achieve their desired grades. Each session typically lasts between 1 to 1.5 hours and is tailored to the student’s individual needs. I regularly incorporate visual tools such as charts and videos to assess and build understanding, allowing students to track their progress across different topics. I also place strong emphasis on exam preparation, past paper practice, and identifying specific areas for improvement. My approach combines clarity, structure, and encouragement to help students reach their full academic potential.
