About Alyssa
I am a college honours-graduate, I have finished my pre-veterinary studies and am working through my second degree.
I have a strong background in math, science (particularly biology and biochem) and research.
I love learning although I generally don't learn through traditional teaching methods.
My tutoring and teaching experience includes work with children and young adults of all abilities and backgrounds. I have worked for years as a respite working for children and teens with autism spectrum disorder, ADHD and depression/anxiety.
My non-academic interests include music, dancing, soccer, gymnastics, nature/research, and animals.

I believe that learning is not one-size-fits-all.
I like to meet with students to determine a plan that will work best for the individual. I am creative and have found that to be helpful in my own studies as well as my tutoring.
Some students thrive in an unconventional environment and I have found that, in some cases, creativity and music can even be used as a great learning tool.
