About Scott
The East Valley Pitching Strategy is based off the scientific work done by the National Pitching Association and the American Sports Medicine Institute. Orthopedic Doctors, Sport Scientists, and many other specialist make up the NPA’s governing body. To include, Tom House, Drew Brees, Nolan Ryan, Randy Johnson and Orel Hershiser. Their goal is to assist baseball in minimizing the “I can see it” conventional wisdom of pitching instruction and provide a framework based on the Biomechanical movements of the human body.
Working with our youth and emparting what I've learned to them and watching them progress and become better players.
My son Lucas, began playing baseball at a very young age, like most kids just starting out, he was excited to play and wanted to learn. As we played with teams, we relied on the coaches to teach and develop Lucas’s baseball skills. Then, at around 9, he said he wanted to pitch and like most dad's, I was pretty jazzed. Relying on our coaches (some ex MLB/Minor League players), we found very subjective instruction and in many cases, lack of any guidance when it came to pitching instruction and healthy mechanics.

Get to know them. Do Visual evaluation. I like to see them play catch...see how they throw naturally first before instructing. I run through excercises like flexing, resistance bands.
As young as 7 to college aged.
