About Matt

I am a baseball coach with 11 years of experience both in youth and collegiate baseball training. After getting my degree from Western Connecticut State, I started my career working for Frozen Ropes, a franchise specializing in baseball training. I have since coached at all 3 levels of collegiate baseball, Division I, II, & III. After coaching at Brown University this past Spring, I have decided to step away from the college side and specialize in private lesson training, as well as college recruitment consultation. I want the athlete to feel like we can have open dialogue during the time we have both on and off the field. There is no cookie cutter approach to my methods. I tailor my lesson plans based on the needs and learning styles of each athlete. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to reach out to me directly. Thank you for your time.

I always loved the game of baseball and knew I wanted to go into some type of coaching when my playing career ended. My biggest problem as a player was never being able to get out of my own way. As a coach, I love to help players with this because sometimes its the only thing standing in between them and success! Thats what makes me love my job every day.

MP Baseball, was such a great experience for my 8u and 11u travel teams. They always had a positive attitude, great drills, and always had the kids best interest. We are looking forward to working with MP again over this off season. Keep up the great work. Thank you for all the time and hard work you invested with my groups.

Matt is very passionate and conscientious. He conveys his professionalism in every manor of his simple understanding to the approach to hitting. He’s been a great Coach, mentor and friend to my boys and I, he has always given that extra touch helping them pursue their goals on and off the field. Matt is a key component in my 2 sons success bridging the gap from high school to a collegiate athlete

How much knowledge he knows about the game of baseball and the fundamentals. Also how down to earth he is, and his worth ethic is unlike any coach I’ve been taught by. He truly wants the best for you and he made me a great player but a better person as well.

Matt was very knowledgeable and took his time to teach the lesson and explain himself when my child did not understand. I would recommend Coach Perper to everyone that I know. He is the best hitting coach in the area.

His will to go above and beyond for me outside of the game of baseball and the way he connects the game specifically to my style of play. Matt is an unbelievable coach and the bond he has created with me is second to none.
