About Slade

Many young ballplayers are taught inaccurate or out of date philosophies and drills. With our growing network of players and coaches, More Than Baseball is able to focus its energy on creating a stronger, more dynamic learning space for youth baseball & softball players around the world.

Our motivation is rooted in the desire to use baseball as a tool for personal growth for all that play. For us, success is about more than just baseball, its about using this game as a tool to create the best person and community possible.

With more than 2000 current minor leaguers and mulitple former major leaguers as a part of our team we can ensure our youth are recieving the most up to date and effect teaching techniques.

Former Major Leaguer and 10 years total of working with kids in a wide variety of situations.

About the lesson

I like to connect with the parents or guardians to learn more about the child or teen that I wil be working with. I then will begin working with the child, we will discuss much more than just baseball skills. My goal is to implement the perspectives and disciplines needed to be not only successful on the field but more importantly leaders in the classroom and in life.
