About Emma
I love getting to know each and every kid for who they are! No child is alike and they all have something special to offer! :) I also really enjoy watching kids grow! It's amazing how much they can grow in such a short amount of time!
I started teaching dance first actually. This is where I learned I wanted to be a teacher. I have also taught swim lessons, group and private and my senior year of high school I took a service learning course and got some more experience in the classroom with the kiddos.
I am certified in CPR and first aid, I use both certifications on the daily as I am also a lifeguard. I am a first year college student majoring in inclusive early childhood education and I have had 3-4 years working with teaching and assisting children.

I try to understand how they learn best and get to know them a bit! I will ask what they feel their strengths and weaknesses are and it is always a team effort! :)
I have working with kids aging from 2 years old up to 3rd grade. I have also worked some with blind students, along with some ADHD/ADD students.
I would say find someone you think you can connect with. Teachers and students should have a relationship, you shouldn't feel stressed to be with them and you should always feel like they're helping you to be your best you!
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
I would say think about how you learn best. Is it visual? Verbal? Tell them this so that they can help you. Also maybe think about what things bother you in the classroom. If you talk about these, your teacher will know and try to avoid them and this will then help you focus better and learn more efficiently.
