About Mike
We offer fun and informative classes with lots of interaction. You will learn skills to help save a life in an emergency situation. The adult CPR mannequins are the latest AHA and ARC standards with lights to show that you are performing the proper depth compressions.
You will receive free handouts on CPR/First Aid, Emergency Supplies and what to do in an Earthquake.
I enjoy helping people learn skills to help others by doing good in the neighborhood.

About the lesson

As a participant, you will be required to bend over and apply pressure to a CPR mannequin. The adult CPR mannequins are placed on the floor to simulate what happens to someone who is in sudden cardiac arrest. If for any reason, you cannot kneel on the floor please let me know and we will accommodate your request.
CPR Portion
The following activities are part of the course, all participants will be wearing non-latex gloves and will choose a partner for the following activities
To simulate an unconscious person everyone will lie on the floor and turn over their partner from lying on their stomachs to a face up position, and then turn them over to the recovery position.
Open their partner's jaw and look into the mouth to search for an object that may cause choking.
Touch their partners neck and check for a pulse
Choose a partner to wrap their arms around the mid-section and simulate abdominal thrusts.
Choose a partner to slightly bend over and lightly pat their partner between the shoulder blades to simulate black blows.
First Aid Portion
For the practice portion of the course. You will choose a partner and apply various bandages:
If you are uncomfortable performing the previous exercises, you may observe and can decline that portion of the training.
