I have coached many players and began training individuals with my 5 year old son as my first trainee. I built a love of training players along with coaching teams.

I have over 35 years of coaching youth through varsity high school. I have coached many DI college level athletes. I have trained players at least 30 years. I have numerous years of attending camps and clinics for coaches, trainers and players. I am associated with some of the basketball training industry's best.

I usually start my first time clients with basic ball-handling and footwork. I move to shooting, then maybe shooting off the dribble. As I have watched them perform in these general areas, I begin to teach new things in each area to see how quickly they grasp it and to see if they possess deeper inadequacies. I mainly try to see the player's work ethic and mental toughness.

I have worked with both, male & female players. On the male side, I have worked with beginners to varsity high school players and international professionals. On the female side, I have worked with beginners to international professionals. I have coached players who have played both, college and professionally in the NBA, WNBA & Internationally.

My advice in seeking trainers would be: 1) commitment, 2) knowledge & 3) teaching ability. Don't mistake that a great demonstrator or player can teach.

A basketball training event I looked forward to is actually a 2-day Trainers & Coaches Conference that I attended the past 2 years.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Players should ask questions like: 1) how many years of experience? 2) ask questions that will reveal character and personal agenda. And 3) ask questions on methods of reaching the player's goals.
