About Andrew

You’ll have the benefit of my 30+ years of experience, plus the knowledge that our sessions will incorporate both your brain and body - treating you as a whole human - not just a bag of bones and muscle. If you’re ready to move beyond sets, reps, and beginner coaching, give me a call.

I have successfully completed the professional strength & fitness certification programs offered by the following:

- Aerobics and Fitness Association of America

- American Council on Exercise

- National Academy of Sports Medicine

- National Strength and Conditioning Association - CSCS

- Resistance Training Specialist - Levels 1 and 2

- Athletes Performance Mentorship - Tempe, AZ

- MBSC Certified Functional Strength Coach

- Precision Nutrition Certified Nutrition Coach

- Former Director of Fitness and Personal Training, Deerfield Multiplex

- Former Director of Fitness and Personal Training, Midtown Athletic Club, Bannockburn

About the lesson

New coaching clients are contacted by phone for a brief interview. A follow-up questionnaire is electronically mailed to the client, and a Success Session - an in-person meeting to discuss history, goals, and plans - is scheduled. The initial session includes a movement assessment to determine appropriate activity selection for initial programming.

I have worked with all types of students.

- basketball players at high school, college, international and professional levels

- ACL rehabilitation patients

- golfers / senior pros

- Parkinson's patients

- Traumatic Brain Injury survivors

- youth athletes

- Army Ranger/Special Forces

- individuals seeking overall strength/conditioning/fitness

Know what you want, and ask any and every question that comes to mind. You should be completely comfortable and confident that you and your coach are compatible before beginning a program together.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Be certain that your coach has actual experience, not only teaching, but actually applying the skills he or she would recommend to you. (As an example, if you were interested in running a triathlon, don't hire a bodybuilder.)
