About Eugene

Set Apart Basketball services stands out due to relationship building and attention to detail. As a self proclaimed behaviorists working in the behavior health industry for 14 years Coach Eugene understands that building rapport is a key element in connecting with a basketball player. Coach Eugene feels if i can understand the player from what motivates them to what their fears are it makes it easier to help the player and meet them were theyre at in their basketball journey. Every player is different and needs an approach specific to them. Coach Eugene also understands with that connection basketball lends a helping hand in life lessons as well. This helps Set Apart Basketball to not only mold better basketball players but also mold better human beings!

The most enjoyable thing about coaching and training is being able to teach a player a concept and watch them in their Ah hah moment! This is the moment were they identify what they have been taught and understand why it will be effective when used on the court. There is no better feeling than watching a player execute a learned concept in a game! These moments are not possible without connection! I look forward to interacting with players and learning how to help them become better individuals on on and off the court!
