About Robert

I started teaching and coaching basketball when I was a youth myself while giving back to the kids and the neighborhood younger than me. My first actual team was in 1997. It was a community basketball team which traveled around the city of Philadelphia playing games in order to divert add risk youths by giving them a positive outlet.

I have been a basketball fan all my life and a player as long as I can remember. I have been fortunate to play at every level of basketball. I've been fortunate to have learned from great coaches throughout my adolescence and adult years playing basketball. I've been on many teams throughout my basketball career which has led me to learn the game from several different aspects.

About the lesson

First we evaluate What the student is trying to get out of the lessons. Next we assess the skill set and set expectations for goals that the student is seeking. The physical part of the workout starts with stretching, some agility work, and then the actual workout for whatever areas that the students will practice during that session.

I've worked with students of all ages from 9 to 22 years of age. I have trained players from elementary school High School level and College. Currently I train a senior that plays at Grove City College, and I work with my daughter who will be playing for Duquesne University for the next two years.

I would tell a student prepare to work hard and push themselves to try to get better. I would also tell them to be open-minded and receptive of new things and ideas.

Pittsburgh started it s annual summer league about a month ago. They play at the market house off of Carson Street, and also at ammon's recreational center in the Hill district. There are 40 teams in this league city-wide pretty impressive.

Details

Workout prices vary depending on the situation of the student. If the student has a place to train the price will be $30-$40 an hour if a student needs a location to come to and train $40-$50 An hour.
