About Michael

Gain the tools that will enable you to develop an Emotional Intelligence Mindset that will allow you to manage your emotions to become more productive in your career, with Basketball, Football and with peers and family. Focus on things that are in your control and managing the changes in your body when stress arises.

Emotional Intelligence Coaching, Basketball Training, Football Training

I started playing sports in elementary and that same passion transferred to Dulles High School and participated in basketball, track and football until graduation in 2000. After high school I competed 10 years on the minor league level; GCFA, TUFA, BYFL and retired in 2015.

Certified in Stress Management and Athletic Development, I have been in the coaching/training capacity for 16 years training girls and boys ages 7 and up. Having the mind of a mentor I am your Athletic Mentor. It is my focus to help you develop your emotional intelligence to overcome the stress in your life to mentor the athletes mind and develop skills to compete.

About the lesson

The session will start with a pre workout performance motivation in which we will focus on the mental side of sports, we will then start getting the body moving with cardio warm-up and isometric stretching to get muscles loose then go into stretching then flex/rotation afterwards go into specific drill training and conditioning.

Of the years of coaching I have won 10 championship games, 3 time coach of the year and have had players play overseas and several becoming successful on the high school, collegiate and minor league levels.

Look for a teacher who is passionate about your development.

Having an athlete perform in a game what was worked on in practice.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Ask yourself how much do you want to succeed.

Our first session was yesterday and I appreciate the way he patiently explained his training process and discussed the plan independently with my son. I will definitely be scheduling more sessions.

We've finished our first session with coach Mike this past Monday and I was pleased with his workout. He was very patient with my son and he worked diligently with him to show him basics. My son enjoyed this one on one session and is looking forward to next week.

Mike brings energy and positivity to coaching which is what my son needs. The sessions are at the perfect skill level for my son; he is challenged but not overwhelmed. My son is working hard, getting better and most importantly, feeling more confident.
