About Kevin

My specialties are ACT/SAT tutoring, basketball training/coaching, football training/coaching, and softball training/coaching

My service stands apart from others because of my experience, attention to detail, and specific tips that enable my students and trainees to master difficult concepts, both mental and physical. I have years of hands on experience the above listed services.

For ACT/SAT exam prep, I have 20+ years of experience as a certified teacher and professional tutor. My tips & methods increase scores 15-20% on average. I can increase speed and comprehension, and make learning easier.

In basketball, I have played & coached for more than 20 years. I was recruited by hundreds of small colleges while in high school, and I coached high school boys and girls once I graduated college. I still play competitively, and I can help with all aspects of the mental & physical parts of the game.

For football, I have played & coached for more than 20 years. I was All-State as a defensive back and receiver in high school, and was recruited by hundreds of colleges.

I have always had a passion for teaching, coaching, and training. When I know something extremely well, like ACT, SAT, football, or basketball, I can convey my knowledge to others and help them master things. It's inherent in my nature. My passion, skills, and experience make my skill sets unique.

After working in the Human Resources and Staffing field, I wanted a change. I have always had a passion for training and teaching others, and I already had a B.A. in Employment Relations, so I only needed an additional 2 years of school in order to get certified to teach both English and Sociology

--20 years as certified Teacher and tutor, grades K-12 and college

--18 years specializing in ACT/SAT exam prep

--8+ years experience coaching middle and high school students

--3 college degrees in Human Resources, English Education, and Sociology

First, I have a discussion to determine how I can best assist each student.  From there, I develop the best tips and methods in order to assist each student to the best of my ability, and also to establish a relationship that is most beneficial to the student.

I have worked with a wide spectrum of ages, levels, and disabilities

I have taught lessons to students in grades Kindergarten through 12th, and some college

I have also taught students with a variety of disabilities

I would advise them to find someone they can connect with, who understands their style of learning, and who is able to convey knowledge in a way that the student can understand

I recently attended a book signing with my 14 year old son. The author was a well-known blogger and had just published his 2nd book

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
It would be a good idea to think about the following:

What are my strengths?

What are my weaknesses?

What questions do I have?

What type of learner am I? (visual, auditory, etc.)

What am I looking to achieve?
