About Cassandra

Freelance musician since 1999, I've been teaching bassoon lessons for over a decade. All instruction is tailored to the individual needs of the student and my studio currently ranges in age from 5th grade through adult. Every lesson deals with tone production, intonation, technique, and repertoire with two solo studio recital opportunities per year and encouragement in community events and opportunities. A lifelong love of music is the focus, and with regular practice and instruction the bassoon can be the biggest challenge and the most fun you'll ever experience!

I love playing and sharing bassoon. I also genuinely love the unique individuals I have the privilege of teaching, with all their crazy quirks and idiosyncracies. Each student is a different bundle of experience, there is no cookie cutter approach to teaching, and I enjoy the puzzle of how to reach each student in the way most effective for them and their needs.

Bassoon lessons offered by Cassandra are tailored to each student's needs and level. Lessons can also be held online. Lessons are also available in Tucson. The first lesson is free to define learning goals and methodology.
