About STEPHEN

Hello! My name is Stephen Rhode and I'm currently a resident physician in Emergency Medicine. I have a passion for teaching biology and the basic fundamental principles of life!

I teach students not only what to learn but HOW to learn. I teach students how to harness the natural power of their own memory to shine in the classroom and shorten study hours. By learning the techniques I teach students can:

1. Memorize new vocabluarly words with ease

2. Quickly learn new facts in order to better understand larger concepts

3. Drastically reduce the amount of time they spend studying while increasing the time they retain information

Don't learn the same thing twice! Learn it once, but learn how to retain it forever!

I look forward to working with you!

Cheers!

-Stephen

I got started teaching by helping my classmates prepare for AP biology exams.

I am an Emergency Medicine Doctor. I graduated from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine in 2023

I scored a 34 on my ACT

I graduated from Northwestern University class of 2017

About the lesson

I like to go over the fundamentals first. Before we get into biology we need to understand how the mind works. I teach techniques first developed by ancient greek philosphers such as the method of loci and memory palace. These techniques allow students to harness the power of visual memory to learn the basic building blocks of biology with speed and ease.

I've worked with students who have an intrest in biology, memory optimization, and a passion for learning!

Let's start with the basics and go from there! Pura Vida. Don't forget there is more to life than school and exams. Biology is the study of life. Sometimes we spend too much time studying life that we forget to live our own.

I can't wait for the next season of Rick and Morty to come out!

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
What areas are you weak in?

What areas are you strong in?

Identifying strenghts and weaknesses is important to studying with maximum efficiency!
