About Eleanor

I work as an educational assistant at Canton High School. I have worked with biology teachers, going over the many units that will show up on their tests and also the MCAS. I also help kids with their homework in a class where teachers will work one-on-one with their students.

I find science fun. Also, when I have a student who finally understands the unit's material and they can get it on their own it makes me happy. When the student also finds the unit easy we can then test harder questions so that they are prepared for the MCAS.

I currently work as an educational assistant that has all 9th grade biology. I also work with kids who have learning struggles in the class in a seperate class where I can help them more one-on-one.

About the lesson

I would first need to know which units the students are struggling or if they are struggling over-all with bio. Then I would make a plan to go over the main points of that unit and I can either look at their material or bring my own to teach.

Most of the students I have worked with are freshman (14 or 15). Some of them have some struggles with learning and so I give them extra help in these classes.

Details

18$ an hour - I would suggest an hour minimum for the first time tutoring. Until the student starts to feel more comfortable with the subject then we can move down to half an hour where we go over homework or questions they have.
