About Katelyn
I worked as a TA in undergraduate classes and absolutely loved teaching other students. I struggled a lot through my first couple years of college, so I understand what it's like to not understand, which is completely okay! I'm very willing to teach and review and I am very patient. Please feel free to reach out and we can talk about what you need help on, and whether I would be the best fit tutor for you!
I'm a current graduate student studying biomedical science with intent to attend medical school. I am currently working in a lab researching the immunosuppressive effects of mesenchymal stem cells, aiming for eventual stem cell therapy for type 1 diabetes (immunology is also my favorite subject!). I love helping others which is why I intend on pursuing a medical career, and I'm excited that I get to make an impact on healthcare through clinical applications of my research, which is a very fulfilling feeling.
I began with tutoring my cousin, and then I became a TA for my undergraduate classes which is when I discovered that I love being able to help others learn!
I have a bachelor's degree in biological sciences with a minor in chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh, and I am currently a biomedical science masters student at University of Miami.
