About Sarah

I aim to provide quality and enthusiastic instruction on human biology, physiology and anatomy. Tutoring sessions will not only clarify and simplify challenging subjects but also empower students to approach thier own education with curiosity and ease. I am pursuing my clinical doctorate in Physical Therapy in the Rehabilitation Medicine Department of the University of Washington (anticipated graduate 2021). I have worked as a dissection technician in both Portland State University's and the UW's cadaver labs. I find that harnessing my own innate curiousty is what makes me a successful student and my goal is to uncover this innate and powerful curiosity in all students!

There is nothing more inspiring to me than an empowered learner. I view learning to be a learner as an important and neccesary process to succeed!

I am pursuing my clinical doctorate in Physical Therapy. I returned to school to study all of the sciences before applying to Physical Therapy programs. At this time, I have worked as an anatomy technician in cadaver labs at both PSU and the UW.

About the lesson

Student-centered sessions will begin with an interview that focuses on an individuals struggles, goals and successes. This method encourages self-efficacy and a personal investment, that extends beyond a letter grade, in a student's learning. Student and tutor will co-create a goal centered plan to focus tutoring sessions and progress as sub-goals are met.
