What I enjoy most about teaching is the ability to truly become a lifelong learner along with my students. I learn of their experiences and aspirations, how they learn and adapting my teaching style to a variety of individuals. Teaching truly is one of the most fulfilling professions anyone can become a part of.

I began teaching through the traditional route at Kean University. A 4 year program that involved a two-part student teaching practicim. From there I immediatly took a position in Union County with one of the public school districts as a Biology Teacher.

About the lesson

My typical process for working with a new student involves getting to understand their learning process, where the foundations of the subject are at and working from there. Though my focus is on the biological sciences, I truly belive that every tutor/teacher needs skill in developing reading comprehension as it is a foundational aspect of education.

Students across a variety of backgrounds throughout union county. As an educator by trade classrooms of 25+ with students in:

-Honors/AP

-General Education

-ESL Programs

-Special Education (Students with Learning disabilities+Communication Disorders)

Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic teachers and students alike had to quickly adapt to an unprecedented event for an unknown amount of time. Students throughout my classes and I adapted and made the most out of a difficult situation and instruction was able to be carried on through virtual means through platforms such as canvas, google meet, and webex video conferencing.
